SLC is the Aedes software for the analysis of mixed wood and concrete floors , considering the collaboration between the two materials, compliant with the current technical regulations: the Ministerial Decree 17.1.2018 with the related Circular 7 of 21.1.2019 and related documents, and the Instructions for the Design, Construction and Control of Wooden Structures CNR-DT 206 R1/2018 (evolution of the previous CNR-DT 206/2007). The software was created and progressively updated with reference to authoritative scientific texts in the sector, such as the static and dynamic theory for composite structures with deformable connection developed by Girhammar .
The following analyzes and security checks are available:
• static analysis , withSLU (resistance) checks for medium and long duration load combinations, at time 0 and infinite time taking into account viscous deformations
• SLE (deformability) checks at time 0 and infinite time
• definition of the dynamic properties , with calculation of the natural frequency and vibration testing , required by the regulations in force for residential environments
• seismic analysis , with load amplification due to the vertical component of the structural acceleration and with analysis of the probability of damage due to impulsive seismic actions (jerk)
• behavior at fire
•resistance of the masonry to the constraint due to stresses transmitted by the floor.
The technique of mixed wooden and concrete floors takes on a particular and important role for the purposes of recovering wooden floors in existing buildings .

The recovery and consolidation operation is part of the Anti-seismic Improvement Interventions , and more generally concerns cases of conservative consolidation even for static purposes only (for example, to limit the deformability of the floors and lighten the load carried by the wooden elements ).
Reference is made to these types of interventions relating to floor diaphragms in the Circular. 7 of 21.1.2019, in §C8.7.4.1 (“Criteria and Types of intervention”) and in the PCM9.2.2011 Directives: “Assessment and reduction of seismic risk of cultural heritage with reference to the Technical Standards for construction” in § 6.3.4 (“Interventions aimed at reducing the excessive deformability of the floors and their consolidation”: (…) for wooden floors, through the reinforcement technique with a collaborating concrete slab, possibly lightened, a stiffening can be achieved in the plane of the slab and flexural (…)).
Slabs with a mixed wood-concrete structure can also be used for the construction of new decks , and are expressly referred to in the current legislation: in the Ministerial Decree 17.1.2018, in §7.2.6, it is noted that they can be considered infinitely rigid in their average plane flat horizontals made of a mixed structure with a reinforced concrete slab of at least 50 cm. thick connected to wooden structural elements by appropriately sized shear connectors.
