AMPreVA ME is an advanced parametric design and analysis environment for pressure vessels, nozzles and similar equipment. It allows the definition of detailed geometric parameters (including shell dimensions, thicknesses, types of tank heads, nozzles and other accessories) and the automatic generation of accurate 3D models. AMPreVA ME outputs include assembly and manufacturing drawings, BOM reports including shell sheet forming, as well as analytical models and finite element analysis (FEA) results. In addition, AMPreVA ME supports a variety of configurations such as horizontal, vertical with support legs, columnar and jacketed with thermal jackets. It also allows simultaneous editing of parameters and accurate weight and cost estimates for each component.

In the field of storage tank integrity analysis, AMPreVA ME software offers a variety of capabilities. The software supports internationally recognized standards such as API 653 and API 579 Fitness-for-Service. By importing corrosion monitoring data (e.g., ultrasonic thickness measurement of the tank body), thickness distribution maps can be drawn and corrosion rates and remaining life can be calculated. AMPreVA ME’s finite element modeling capabilities allow the structural response of the tank to internal loads (e.g., pressure and temperature changes) to be accurately analyzed and stresses to be predicted. In addition, AMETank documentation shows that the tools in this family also allow for re-rating the service conditions of existing tanks according to API-653 requirements.
