LEGION 2025 is the new overarching name for the LEGION suite of products, delivering a consolidated download package comprising:

• LEGION Model Builder
• LEGION Simulator
• LEGION 3D

LEGION 2023 brings multiple modelling, analysis and usability improvements across LEGION Model Builder, LEGION Simulator and the Data Template tool.

What’s new in LEGION Model Builder

Updates to LEGION Model Builder include:

• Simultaneously edit multiple Service EDOTs in Service Timetables.
• Modify Platform edges without deleting and redrawing the Platform.
• Assign entity delays by Entity Type or Final Destination in Delay Points, Gates, and Mesoscopic Transit Zones.
• During CAD import, restore the last-used Import, Simulation and Autonavigation tick box selections for imported CAD Layers.

What’s new in LEGION Simulator

LEGION Simulator sees improvements to the camera functionality which enhances your analysis and reporting workflows. Headline items include:

• Cameras now show their exact field of view in the workspace.
• Precisely manipulate the size, shape, and position of Cameras, both in the workspace and in Camera property dialogs.
• An adjustable ‘Whole Model’ Camera covers the entire model. Its aspect ratio can be modified to suit output requirements.
• Global and per-project defaults to help create consistent recordings.
• All new Cameras are automatically initialised with the configurable default Camera aspect, to help efficiently generate consistent outputs.
• All new Map images, Graph images, and video outputs are automatically initialised to the configurable default sizes, file formats, and aspect ratios.
• Direction Modifiers can affect entities in specified Mesoscopic Transit Zones.

New in both LEGION Model Builder and LEGION Simulator

Improvements that are brought to you in both Model Builder and Simulator include:

• Direction Modifiers can now affect Mesoscopic entities.
• Train Carriage interiors can be simulated mesoscopically, to reflect user-defined capacities, without microsimulation.
• Rename automatically detects what must be renamed, based on current selections and search results.
• ‘Copy with Basepoint’ right-click menu option for selected objects and CAD elements.
• The ‘Copy’ and ‘Copy with Basepoint’ tools support repeated duplication.
• A new toolbar button enables rapid switching between white and black backgrounds.

Other LEGION tools

LEGION Data Template offers the following new functionality:

• Define different EDOTs for each Service in the Platform-Train Settings sheet.
• The Origin Settings sheet and the Platform-Train Settings sheet now support up to 300 tables each.

Due to third-party licensing restrictions beyond our control, the LEGION CAD Prep tool, which was introduced in LEGION Model Builder CONNECT Edition Update 3, is no longer available.
