CEMENTICS General Introduction

CEMENTICS is intended to be the general application for cement job design and evaluation. Based on distinct workflows, the features of the software are split into four applications.

Job Design: The CEMENTICS Job Design application covers the entire design workflow for primary cement jobs. This is the result of years’ development, adding most of CemCADE’s features together with new componenets. The result is a standalone design tool that you can use for your daily work, and that fits into the global cementing workflow too.

Plug Design: The workflows from CemCADE and PlugAdvisor were combined together to create CEMENTICS Plug Design. This means you can complete the entire design within a single application, from fluid selection, through hydraulic and temperature simulations, up to evaluating fluid contamination.

Job Evaluation: With CEMENTICS Job Evaluation, you can complete the Design-Execution-Evaluation cycle and confirm if the job objectives were achieved. First, you have the basic tools required to check if the job program was followed during the execution. Second, you can check if the assumptions of the design were correct, and play back the acquired data using the simulators. Finally, you can perform a pressure match and run more simulations to confirm the success of the job.

Fluid Design: The origins of the CEMENTICS Fluid Design application can be traced back to SlurryDesigner*. It was conceived to help engineers and laboratory technicians to design complex cement systems (like CemCRETE and CemSTONE), and to assist with planning the related operations (blending, loadout, etc.). With the new version, the application is aligned with the Fluids section of other CEMENTICS applications, so you can easily transfer fluids between them.
