LithoTect™ provides state-of-the-art structural and stratigraphic geology solutions in an n-dimensional, probabilistic earth modeling environment with an open, plug-in, distributed, and collaborative architecture.

The interpretation construction tools are superior to any other geological application. You can work with virtually any kind of constraining information (e.g., wells, seismic, map data, previous interpretations) and the “drawing” functions explicitly use this data.

Once you have an interpretation, and even while you are creating it, LithoTect tests for physical reality by accurately removing folding and faulting. This “balancing” process – restoration to a reasonable undeformed state – serves to validate and refine an interpretation. The restorations can also be used to animate a structure and quantify fracture densities and distributions.

LithoTect can be used to analyze fault sealing characteristics, help determine hydrocarbon migration pathways and accumulation zones, and predict depositional and lithofacies patterns. The methods it uses are based on the best and latest research on how rocks get complicated – in order to easily uncomplicate them.

The algorithms are appropriate for analysis of complex thrustbelts, basement uplifts, extensional margins and normal faults, allochtho­nous salt provinces, wrench faulted areas, and mixtures of structural styles. It is designed to handle scales ranging from regional exploration to reservoir production.
