OpenBuildings Designer 2024

OpenBuildings Designer CONNECT Edition (previously named AECOsim Building Designer), is a powerful building information modeling software for building design based on MicroStation software, which has many tools for architectural and structural modeling. This software brings together four separate Bentley software that were used for building information modeling to be a comprehensive software for users in this field.

This software supports large and complex distributed work processes and projects. Using the MicroStation platform, this software provides a set of tools for drawing, annotation, solid and surface modeling, rendering and animation. OpenBuildings Designer has a wide variety of display styles for use in landscapes, such as area planability, solar shading, and native support for cloud data markup.

The software is tightly integrated with home design tools such as RAM and STAAD for structural analyses, Energy Simulator for energy analysis, Navigator for model review and coordination, and ProjectWise for project collaboration and engineering information.

System requirements for OpenBuildings Designer CONNECT Edition:

Hardwares:
Intel or AMD processor 1.0 GHz or greater. OpenBuildings Designer is not supported on a CPU that does not support SSE2.
16 GB minimum 32 GB recommended. More memory generally improves performance, particularly when working with larger models.
24 GB free disk space (includes the 16 GB install footprint for a complete installation), 10-25 GB depending on additional installations such as Companion Features and Companion Products.
512 MB of video RAM or higher is recommended. For optimal performance, graphics display color depth should be set to 24-bit or higher.
