Thermo Scientific PerGeos Software is a robust platform that enables E&P engineers to understand the quality and performance of hydrocarbon reservoirs. PerGeos Software is the industry’s first digital rock solution designed to help geoscientists rapidly interpret digital rock imagery so that E&P engineers can quickly and easily obtain meaningful, actionable data. Its visualization, processing, and analysis of 2D and 3D digital rock imagery enables improved evaluation of reservoir quality and faster understanding of static and dynamic rock properties that impact production. PerGeos Software can be used as a standalone software platform or bundled with a variety of applications to customize the user experience with additional functionality for digital core analysis.

General Enhancements and new features

Scale Bar

A new 2D Scale Bar module is available in the Explore Workspace. The module can be created on any Ortho Slice or LDA Ortho Slice. This module allows, in particular, to enable the display of an unambiguous scalebar during 3D animations. The bar length is restricted to rounded values , and should remain readable regardless of the brightness of the image displayed behind.

Python

$PERGEOS_LOCALis now supported as search path for Python Script Objects. See the paragraph Resource File in the chapter Automating, Customizing, Extending > Python Documentation > Script Objects for more details.

Trial Watermark

Pergeos Software Trial version displays a watermark of “Trial Version” on top of the 3D Viewer. This watermark is removed upon activation of the license.

Compatibility notes

Deprecated ports: Documentation section Automating, Customizing, Extending has been re-organized, and a new section has been added to document how to upgrade old projects, recipes or other custom resources when upgrading to a new version of Thermo Scientific™ PerGeos™ Software.

End of support
