3D Block Stability Risk Assessment Software for Rock Slopes

Assesses the factors of safety of thousands of blocks in highly jointed rock masses, where failures are structurally controlled.

Model 3D Geological Structures

Model structurally controlled failures in 3D slope geometries such as benches, highway cuts, and entire open pits. Define joints as measured joints, synthetically sampled joint sets, or discrete surfaces, specified by orientation and location.

Block Stability Analysis

Identify all valid blocks formed by joint intersections. Use the limit equilibrium method to determine each block’s stability, considering weight, shear strength, water pressure, loading, and supports.

Predict failure locations and magnitudes and create heat maps to show areas with the lowest factors of safety, largest failure volumes and depths, and greatest support needs.

Probabilistic Analysis

Perform probabilistic analysis to model the variability in rock unit weights, joint shear strengths, and water pressure parameters, and obtain location-specific failure probabilities.

Generate histograms, cumulative plots, and scatter plots, and fit distributions and regression lines through the data for detailed analysis.
