Sante PACS Server is  a DICOM compliant PACS server that performs multiple tasks including providing Modality Worklist services , acting as an HTTP (web) server for DICOM files , and as a CD/DVD burning and printing server . The software offers high performance and reliability at an affordable price. The server is capable of connecting to all DICOM medical imaging devices (modalities) such as CT, MR, US, CR, NM, XA, MG, DX , etc. DICOM images stored in the system can be viewed using the Sante PACS Viewer , a full-featured built-in DICOM viewer. Also, its built-in web server can be used as a free cloud server for DICOM files.

Program features and functions

• Database module:
• This application uses Postgres SQL server to manage the database.
• It has the ability to store an unlimited number of patients, studies, series, and images, limited only by the size of the hard drive.
• DICOM Server Module:
• The built-in DICOM server supports all DICOM network services such as C-FIND SCU/SCP, C-MOVE SCU/SCP, C-STORE SCU/SCP, C-GET SCU/SCP, and C-ECHO SCU/SCP .
• This module is compatible with all modalities (CT, MR, NM, US, XA, MG, CR, DX, etc.), all device manufacturers, and DICOM 3.0 and NEMA 2 file types.
• The number of connections and DICOM nodes and clients that can connect to it is unlimited.
• Worklist Server Module:
• The internal Worklist server module can receive patient demographic and exam schedule information stored in a Hospital/Radiology Information System ( HIS/RIS ) via HL7 communication.
• It then transmits this information to any medical device or scanner via DICOM ( C-FIND ) communication protocols.
• Web server module:
• The web server module allows remote users of the system to connect to it and query and retrieve studies stored in the DICOM server database .
• This module uses the HTTP or HTTPS protocol for internet communications, and the remote user must use a web browser such as Edge, Chrome, or Mozilla to query and retrieve studies.
• The web server supports secure SSL connections . This module allows the user to connect to the system from anywhere in the world, query, retrieve and browse stored DICOM studies, and can act as a free cloud server .
• Side programs for remote users:
• Remote users can download and install two free applications, Sante Web Downloader and Sante DICOM Web Viewer, from the system’s home web page.
• Sante Web Downloader allows the user to monitor the download progress. Once the download is complete, it saves the studies in a zip file and the user can configure it to open the saved zip file with their chosen DICOM viewer (such as Sante DICOM Viewer Pro or Sante DICOM Editor), provided that the viewer supports opening zip files via the command line. This is useful for users who prefer to use a viewer other than Sante DICOM Web Viewer.
