Sante PACS Server PG is a PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) server fully compliant with the DICOM 3.0 standard . It also functions as a Modality Worklist Server , an HTTP (Web) server for DICOM files, and a CD/DVD burning and printing server . The system offers high performance and reliability at an affordable price. The server is capable of connecting to all DICOM modalities such as CT, MR, US, CR, NM, XA, MG, DX, and more. DICOM image review can be performed using the Sante PACS Viewer , which is the system’s own full-featured DICOM viewer . The built-in web server can also be used as a free cloud server for DICOM files. The software provides a comprehensive set of modules to provide a central and flexible solution for managing medical imaging data.

Program features and functions

• Database Module: This module uses Postgres SQL server to manage the database. It allows an unlimited number of patients, studies, series, and images (depending only on the size of the hard disk space) to be stored.
• DICOM Server Module: The built-in DICOM server supports all DICOM network services ( C-FIND SCU/SCP, C-MOVE SCU/SCP, C-STORE SCU/SCP, C-GET SCU/SCP, C-ECHO SCU/SCP ). The server is compatible with all modalities ( CT, MR, NM, US, XA, MG, CR, DX , etc.), all medical device manufacturers, and all DICOM 3.0 and NEMA 2 file formats . In addition, it supports an unlimited number of connections with an unlimited number of DICOM nodes and DICOM clients .
• Worklist Server Module: The built-in Worklist Server Module can receive patient demographics and exam scheduling information stored in HIS/RIS (Hospital Information System/Radiology Information System) systems via HL7 communication messages. It then transmits this information to any medical modality or scanner via DICOM ( C-FIND ) communication protocols.
• Web Server Module: The web server module allows remote users to connect to the system and search and retrieve studies stored in the DICOM server database. This module uses the HTTP or HTTPS protocol for these connections and the remote user must use a web browser such as Edge, Chrome or Mozilla to search and retrieve studies. The web server supports secure SSL connections . This module allows the user to connect to the system from anywhere in the world, search, retrieve and review stored DICOM studies and can be used as a free cloud server .
• From the system’s home web page, the remote user can download and install two free applications, Sante Web Downloader and Sante DICOM Web Viewer . Sante Web Downloader allows the user to view the download progress and, at the end of the download, saves the downloaded studies in a compressed (zip) file. The user can configure this application to open the saved compressed file with a DICOM viewer of their choice, such as Sante DICOM Viewer Pro or Sante DICOM Editor . The selected DICOM viewer must support opening compressed files via the command line. This application is useful when the user wishes to use a DICOM viewer other than Sante DICOM Web Viewer .
