Halliburton’s Permedia software is designed to analyze petroleum systems and basin modeling technology in reservoir studies, including fluid migration and reservoir filling simulation, fluid composition prediction, source rock potential, and complex analyses. This software can help upstream oil companies in evaluating exploration risks, reducing errors in predicting reservoir potential, and optimizing field development. This software includes a basin simulator for the Forward Model of pressure and temperature, which is used as input for oil migration simulation.
