Stonefish is a 1D Geomechanics application built on Ocean/Petrel that allows users to build 1D Mechanical Earth Model (1D-MEM) and conduct wellbore stability analysis. Stonefish also allows users to export built 1D-MEMs to other Geomechanics related software, e.g. SMA, Osprey Risk, FracCADE, for other Geomechanics applications.

• Calibrate the 1D-MEM in using measured data from either core samples or field acquisition.
• Compute and predict formation Pore Pressure
• Conduct wellbore stability analysis
• Perform the Stability Sensitivity Analysis
• Estimate horizontal stresses by using Sonic Scanner data
• Integrate with the geoscience, reservoir modeling, drilling and production workflows through the Ocean-Petrel platform
Stonefish 2.1 has fixed various defects detected in Stonefish 2.0. Stonefish 2.1 provides the following new features:
• SHmax and Shmin estimation model using SRVP
It allows user to estimate maximum and minimum horizontal stresses by using SRVP. Two new methods are provided here: SHmax & Shmin 3-Point from SRVP method, and SHmax & Shmin N-Point from SRVP method. The background of this model is that the differences of three shear moduli are mainly caused by differences of three principle stresses.
• Exporting 2D failure information in 3D WBS viewer
Stonefish 2.1 allows users to export 2D borehole failure information from 3D WBS viewer. Three logs, yield zone arc, yield zone area and yield radius will be exported and listed under WBS tree. Users can compare them with the observations of borehole failure that helps the validation of MEM.
